Naturalization Research

Regular price $20.00
The Archives of Michigan hold naturalization records from a number of counties across Michigan for various years. These naturalization records often include Declarations of Intent and Petitions. Staff searches for both sets of paperwork (any any other that might exist within a county) as part of this request. We will send you everything we can find. However, please not that people filing for naturalization before 1906 often only filed a Declaration. Moreover, the paperwork prior to 1906 provides limited information. Last but not least, none of the collections at the Archives of Michigan include the Naturalization Certificate.

Please provide the name you would like us to search (including any alternate spellings), the approximate date of naturalization, and the county where the person was naturalized. The product covers a search for one name in one county. The research fee for this product takes into account the time and costs associated with Archives staff searching, pulling, copying, and delivering the records. The research fee is non-refundable.
